Traffic situation at the Finnish-Russian border

History

Polar Logistics Group was founded in Helsinki in 2001 when Polar Logistics International Oy acquired the Russian operations of Wilson Logistics – formerly Huolintakeskus Russia. As a result, Polar Logistics International Oy opened offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg, forming the basis of Polar Logistics Group.

During the same year, Polar Logistics International Oy became a cargo agent for Aeroflot in Finland. A German subsidiary was founded in 2005 and the same year, first accreditation by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) was received. Further, an acquisition of an office and a warehouse facility near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport gave an extra boost to the entire Polar Logistics Group’s development.

Our transcontinental network of agents and own offices continues to grow stronger. Recently Polar Logistics Group opened offices for example in Astrakhan, Ekateringburg, and Vostochny, Russia; Almaty, Atiray and Aktau, Kazakhstan. Our network enables us to provide comprehensive services to our customers in Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand and in North and South America. The extensive network of agents and own offices allow us to offer the most reliable services and logistics solutions at the best transport modes and routes possible.
